Whats in Andhra,for Jagan..??

An Indian's view of a Chair in Power is always "rocking".Now that word can have different interpretations in different situations.

The popular opinion of this Chair when YSR was in power was that "it rocks".When Mr.Rosiah was in power, the same chair was called a "rocking chair".We know what happened finally.

YSR's sad demise had certainly put lesser prominant political rivals to front end.The "Telangana Issue" could be be considered an outcome. The Congress has had its issues fighting the uproar until the "Real Probable Issue", Jagan Mohan Reddy.YSR certainly had the state in his fist. The Jagan faction of the State Congress has always wanted to be noticed.Jagan's age and experience in state politics has always been an issue for the Congress Legislature Party. With Mr.Rosiah's cabinet not being able to offer Jagan a ministerial berth, there was more "oil to fire".Though Mr.Rosiah had his health reasons to step down, politically,it is seen as Congress's step to bring in an assertive CM to fight the "Jagan faction" and as a political solution to fight the Telangana Issue which has a deadline of December 31.

While Jagan's alleged anti - congress remarks on Sakshi TV and few against Rahul Gandhi have upset the Congress, the party may not want to upset Jagan and create a  political martyr of him.It has adopted a careful strategy to isolate Jagan and claim YSR's legacy. In the last couple of days, the high command split YSR's family by wooing his brother Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy with a ministerial berth.

With an absolute majority in the assembly, with 156 MLAs in the 294-member assembly and support of 3 independents,Jagan's probable pullout from Congress maynot affect the party. For Jagan to pull down the government,he needs to have the support of 52 MLAs while he has 20 in his fold. However to fill the 20 seat vaccum, the Praja Rajyam Party could be roped in.

So whats in it for Jagan Mohan Reddy..?? A possible suspension,a ministerial berth or a better opportunity to consolidate his party by 2014.Lets wait and watch.

A possible dent through the heart of LIC..!!

We as citizens of India have been hearing this name LIC from the time we were born.

It is known that LIC has been in existence since 1957 in the Life Insurance business insuring millions. It is after 40 years of thorough breed in this business ,did they venture into housing finance.Right from the time LIC has been in the Insurance business,it has been viewed a mass brand and a Public Sector (adding more than a reason for the "aam aadmi" to be brand loyal).

It looks like LIC Housing Finance, may not enjoy the safe and secure brand image anymore. The issue here is officials of LIC and few others have been accused of giving loans to companies in return for monetary benefits from a city based financial services company. What state of affairs..!!Markets have been falling reflecting this sentiment, offering investors an amazing entry point.

Like what Ratan Tata had to say recently. When Obama visits India,we put India on the world map and boast of growth and systemic brilliance. The very next week we have a series of Scams.Starting with Adarsh housing upto the latest Housing Scam.

LIC's latest advertisement on TV says "Why go anywhere else".If scams dent the image of institutions like the LIC,the aam aadmi might reconsider and rethink ""Why not go anywhere else". Lets wait and watch..!

Rightly named "Sensitivity Index"...!!

"Indian Economy is well on a way to recovery and in line with growth expectations".
These are lines anybody watching CNBC or NDTV Profit would hear.A retail investor has his eyes plugged to the BSE Sensex or Sensitivity Index on either of these channels or otherwise.Following the SENSEX blindly is something an investor has to rethink of.

Nowadays the SENSEX has enough reasons to be volatile. The latest of offerings being the CBI raids on the offices of LIC,Central Bank of India,Bank of India and few others. Not to be forgotten ,the bomb shells on South Korea. The Sensex , in our opinion is only a figurative benchmark of the probable fusion of economic, social and political factors.

A small word of advice to the Indian Investor.Sensitivity Index is named hence as it captures news and developments which may or maynot be detrimental to the economy.Let the word SENSEX not obstruct your  deciding power.Regular investments are the way forward and timing the market the biggest mistake.

Bihar Elections - An end to caste politics..!!

The Bihar Elections this time have given a clear mandate.Bihar has all this while been the shadow of caste politics with the likes of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Ram Pilas Paswan trying to capilatise. But now the road map for the state is clear.

Nitish Kumar's JD(U) combined with the BJP have had a convincing victory.Basic Infrastructure has been his agenda for the last 5 years.Bihar will have ti improve on important areas like infrastructure, education, industrialisation and in the social sphere isues like  castism, female child foeticide, literacy levels

More to say.3 time Chief minister of Bihar State , Rabri Devi decided to contest Bihar assembly elections 2010 from two assembly seats i.e. Sonepur Vidhan Sabha seat and Raghopur Vidhan Sabha seat. But she loses both.

Bihar in its way to transformation..!!
